RAND Human Resources supports a diverse community of highly skilled research, professional and support staff dedicated to providing research and analysis of the highest quality. The recruiter will play a key role in supporting our mission by helping to attract and hire high caliber staff. The successful candidate will focus on partnering with hiring organizations and with our Human Resources Services Managers. This position can be located in either Santa Monica, CA or Arlington, VA. This position will report to our Recruitment Manager.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Proactively sources candidates using resume recruitment databases and LinkedIn. Connects with possible candidates to introduce job openings, determine level of interest, and explain appeal of working at RAND.
Reviews and assesses online applications submitted through RAND's web based applicant tracking system.
Conducts phone screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring managers as appropriate.
Prepares recruiting reports
Coordinates immigration assistance/visa processing for RAND Research staff.
Assists Recruiting Manager with RAND's Campus Recruiting Program, using metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting activities. Provides strategic input for future recruitment activities.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with department management, hiring managers, HR staff, and other internal customers in order to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs and talent management activities
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelors degree.
4+ years of full-life cycle recruiting experience with at least 2+ years of in-house experience.
3+ years of experience working with a web based applicant tracking system
2+ years of sourcing experience (including mining resume databases)
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Ability to function independently in a high-volume fast paced environment.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with employees of all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
Experience recruiting and hiring employees with former federal government experience is preferred.
